  • 1 tablespoon Fleischmann's® Unsalted-stick
  • 1 large onion, cut in half, thinly sliced
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Dash salt
  • 1 can (10 oz each) Ro*Tel® Original Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies, drained
  • PAM® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
  • 2 pkgs (12 oz each) Hebrew National® Jumbo Beef Franks
  • 8 hot dog rolls
  • 2 ounces plain potato chips, crushed

  1. Melt Fleischmann's in medium skillet over medium heat. Add onion, sugar, pepper and salt; cook and stir 5 to 6 minutes or until onion is slightly browned. Add drained tomatoes; increase heat to medium-high and cook about 1 minute or until most of juices have evaporated. Place onion mixture in bowl; set aside.
  2. Spray same skillet with cooking spray and heat franks over medium-high heat 7 to 8 minutes. Meanwhile, toast rolls in toaster oven or under broiler.
  3. Assemble appetizers by placing some chips and 1 frank in each roll. Insert 3 long wooden picks across each frank evenly. Divide onion mixture evenly on franks. Cut each frank between wooden picks with serrated knife to make 3 separate pieces. Serve as a snack or hors d'oeuvres.
